African Queens receives medal award at the Miss Earth National Costume Competition 2016.
The National Costume Competition featured 83 candidates of Miss Earth 2016, as they all showed off their beautiful national costumes on Monday, October 24 at the Century Park Hotel.
The national costume parade coincided with the celebration of United Nations Day. Before the costume parade, the ladies had an environmental
forum, where they planned and discussed ways to take better care of the planet.
The ladies of Africa were awarded the gold medal with the delegates of South America earning the silver, and the European ladies earning the bronze medal for the environmental forum plan
While the winners for the National Costume were chosen per continent:
Asia - Thailand, Japan and Indonesia
Africa - Uganda, South Africa and Nigeria
Americas - Mexico, Ecuador and Bolivia
Europe - England, Sweden and Krygzstan
For Africa, Uganda got a Gold medal, South Africa the Silver medal and Nigeria got Bronze for the costume competition.
Congratulations to the queens for the excellent representation at the International competition.
