Hlengiwe Twala, from Hartebeesport Dam, was crowned as the 2017 Mrs South Africa, at a glittering grand finale at Emperors Palace, Johannesburg.hosted by the sensational Minnie Dlamini, and produced by one of Africa’s leading show producers, Jan Malan. It featured a star studded guest list of top South African talent, South Africa’s very own Mrs World who was Mrs South Africa 2016, Candice Abrahams and celebrities, dancers, designers as well as breath-taking entertainment by the Joburg ballet.

Mrs South Africa is the number one empowerment programme for married woman in South Africa. The ladies involved in the organisation are ambitious and successful in their various careers, they are also mothers and wives of all different ages and sizes who are doing great work within their respective communities.

Mrs South Africa finalists stayed at Emperors Palace for pageant week which ran from 17th – 21st October and were out to impress the celebrity judging panel comprised of: Principal judge, Cindy Nell Roberts (Former Miss South Africa), Vusi Zwane (Emperors Palace Peermont Hotel corporate affairs and corporate social investment executive), Zuraida Jardine (TV and Radio personality) and Joan Madibeng (former Miss South Africa 2003 and business woman). The judges unanimously felt that the beautiful 37 year old, Mrs Twala best represented her vision amongst an incredibly talent top 25.
Schwarzkopf Professional Mrs South Africa has been a proud supporter for the last five years of the Cancer Association of South Africa (CANSA), the official charity of Schwarzkopf Professional Mrs South Africa. This year, the Schwarzkopf Professional Mrs South Africa PTY LTD and its top 25 finalists raised R1,130904 for CANSA.
The newly crowned Mrs South Africa will depart days after crowning, to represent her country at the Mrs World competition in Incheon, South Korea on 26th October 2016.
