22-year-old Selamawit Teklay has been appointed as the new Miss Grand Ethiopia 2017. standing 172 cm. She is currently studying Computer Science and her hobbies include playing table-tennis and listening to music.

Due to a family emergency, Hanna Abate, the formerly confirmed Miss Grand Ethiopia 2017 cannot attend the upcoming pageant in Vietnam.
Selamawit Teklay is representing  Ethiopia at Miss Grand International 2017 to be held in Vietnam during this 5 -26 October.
